Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience and certification level) About Us Elijah's House is a DHCS-licensed, Joint Commission (JCAHO)-accredited residential substance use disorder treatment facility in Pasadena. We provide compassionate, structured care in a small, home-like setting, supporting clients through detox, residential treatment, and recovery. Position Summary We're hiring Registered Alcohol and Drug Technicians (RADTs) to support daily operations and client care at our residential facility. Techs are the backbone of the house — you'll monitor client safety and wellbeing, support the daily schedule, document in our EMR, and help maintain a clean, structured, recovery-focused environment. Responsibilities Conduct client rounds and safety checks per shift protocol (AM/PM/NOC) Observe and document client behavior, vitals, and self-administration of medications per facility policy Complete shift documentation and progress notes in Kipu EMR Facilitate the daily schedule: wake-ups, meals, groups, chores, transports, and lights-out Perform client intakes, belongings searches, and urinalysis collection per policy Transport clients to appointments as needed (valid driver's license required) Support house upkeep, meal service, and facility cleanliness standards Respond calmly and appropriately to crises; report incidents per DHCS and facility protocol Maintain client confidentiality under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Requirements Current RADT registration with a DHCS-approved certifying organization (CCAPP, CADTP, or CAADE) — required High school diploma or GED CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before start) TB clearance and background check per DHCS requirements Reliable transportation; valid CA driver's license and clean driving record preferred Ability to work weekends and/or overnight shifts Prior experience in residential SUD treatment or behavioral health preferred but not required — we train Nice to Have Experience with Kipu or similar EMR CADC-track candidates working toward certification hours Lived recovery experience welcome (2+ years of continuous sobriety if in recovery, per industry standard) What We Offer Supervised hours toward CADC certification Growth opportunities within a growing multi-facility organization Supportive, mission-driven team environment Meals provided during shifts Schedule 8-hour shifts: AM, PM, and NOC (overnight) Weekend availability required for some positions Elijah's House is an equal opportunity employer.
