In this vital role, you will provide direct support my son with diverse behavioral needs at home and in the community. You will work closely with BCBA to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and care. Duties Assist in the implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles for clients with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions Support clients during intake assessments, therapeutic activities, and daily routines while maintaining a positive and engaging environment Monitor and observe behavioral cues to identify changes in mental or physical health status Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to ensure client safety during behavioral episodes or emergencies Collect data on client behaviors, progress notes, and treatment outcomes for medical documentation and ongoing assessment Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding, confidentiality and managing medical records securely Support social work initiatives by assisting with client communication, family interactions, and community resource connections Participate in training on trauma-informed care, PTSD management, addiction counseling, first aid, CPR, and other relevant certifications to enhance service delivery Skills Proven experience working with youth, or individuals with disabilities in clinical or educational settings Strong understanding of mental health conditions such as PTSD, substance use disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder Excellent crisis intervention skills coupled with effective de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors calmly and safely Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration procedures, and electronic health record (EHR) management systems Ability to perform behavior management strategies based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) methodologies Effective client communication skills with an empathetic approach to support diverse populations Experience working within special education environments or providing behavior intervention services is highly desirable Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Competence in data collection for behavioral tracking and progress evaluation First aid and CPR certification preferred but required within onboarding training Join our team to be part of a passionate group committed to transforming lives through compassionate behavioral health support.
