About La Jolla Recovery La Jolla Recovery is a Joint Commission-accredited substance use and mental health treatment center serving the San Diego and La Jolla communities. We provide detoxification, residential, and outpatient services and are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment for our clients. We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. The BHT works directly with clients and assists with maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured treatment environment.

Job Title:

Behavioral Health Technician Reports to: Director of Operations Duties and Responsibilities Assist with transportation of clients to groups, meetings, appointments, and other approved activities. Assist with client intakes, including searching belongings and completing required inventory documentation. Conduct routine room searches and client monitoring in accordance with facility policies. Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Encourage and assist clients with attending scheduled groups, meetings, and activities. Monitor designated areas and ensure facility rules and expectations are followed. Perform routine drug testing and breath alcohol testing in accordance with facility procedures. Maintain client confidentiality and protect sensitive information in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Communicate appropriately with clients, coworkers, and supervisors. Maintain a professional and respectful environment for clients and staff. Respond appropriately to client needs and report concerns or incidents to appropriate leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record. Current TB clearance or ability to obtain required clearance. Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain certification as required. Ability to work in a behavioral health or substance use treatment environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or varying shifts as required. Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential treatment, or a related setting is preferred. Pay:

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
