Full Job Description SUD Resident Floor Monitor Position Summary:

The House of Metamorphosis, Inc. Monitor is responsible for monitoring the activities of residents of the program and to ensure compliance with program rules and expectations. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the safety of residents and the security and sanitation of the program. Essential Job function and

Responsibilities:

Foster a resident-centered caring environment, making certain to improve the quality of lives for our residents Works with other team members to monitor day to day care levels of residents Ensure a safe and manageable living environment for shelter residents. Monitors residential areas, is visible and continuously interacts with shelter residents. Maintain a comprehensive and accurate written record of events that occur during shifts, as well as thorough incident reports. Maintain resident sign-in/out log as well as all other logbooks and records. Consult with direct supervisor or supervisor on-duty regarding residents' personal needs, behavior and service planning. Check for contraband in facility through general observation, room or package/purse searches (upon check-in or at random). Supervise program activities and other programming for residents. Enforce periodic fire drills and perform other safety duties as directed to ensure safety of residents, including implementing emergency evacuation protocol. Answers telephone and routes calls or messages to appropriate staff. Responds to in-person and telephone inquiries from the public. Receive, account for and secure all donations received during the shift, as well as provide donation receipts to donors upon request. Attend staff meetings and training Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

Three (3) years related experience in AOD services, strong communication skills familiar with safety and program procedures. AOD certification or equivalent, BA in related area preferred. Excellent written and verbal skills, basic computer and internet skills. Strong ability to be able to work in a multi-task workplace environment and possess the abilities to interact with a multicultural staff as a positive and supportive team player.

Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor or Registered Alcohol Drug Technician (RADT)
