The ideal candidate wants to help break the cycle of clients moving from crisis centers to housing instability and back to crisis centers.
Med Tech :
This position is responsible for carrying out the activities of daily living services to residents in accordance with their service plan in a given community. These duties include providing medication management services, personal care for all residents, communicating with medical professionals and families about the needs of residents.
Availability :
The ideal candidate for this position is available to work Friday & Saturday for the PM Shift (2pm
  • 10pm).
This is a part-time position, please do not apply if you are looking for full-time hours. Essential Functions of the Job (Med Tech): Administer treatments in accordance with physician instructions. Identify any side effects or problems, and report refusals to the physician. Prepare and pass medication for residents as ordered by a physician, reporting any medication errors, side effects, or problems to the supervisor or physician. Document administration or refusal of medication. Responsible for accurately completing all forms and communication notes related to and required by company policy and State regulations regarding medication administration and/or supervision. Demonstrate an understanding of safety procedures and precautions regarding the resident. Reports all incidents, accidents, and unsafe or hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel. Responds to emergency situations, following proper emergency protocol. Takes vital signs and administers first aid in the event of illness. Assure availability of all medications prescribed for a resident and that medication on hand is that which is prescribed, is not expired, and is properly labeled in compliance with company policy and state regulations. Perform checks of vital signs and weight as assigned and maintains records of monthly vital signs and weight for each resident in compliance with company policy and state requirements. Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Essential Functions of the job Fulfillment Partner / Mental Health Worker): Manage, monitor and maintain floor activities Ensures that clients have other tasks of daily living including, but not limited to, grooming. Establish and maintains a therapeutic relationship with clients and acts as a role model in maintaining a positive attitude and coping with symptoms of mental illness. Works with clients to build and maintain essential communication and social skills. Assists with implementing life skills workshops, extracurricular activities, and other community and social service programs. Observes clients for changes in behavior, monitors client activities, motivates clients to participate in activities and also guides and advises clients in their personal adjustment utilizing de-escalation techniques. Maintains a safe environment by keeping the community safe, clean and comfortable; recognize environmental safety hazards, understand the methods to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries. Reports clients physical and emotional condition changes. Promotes open communications between healthcare professionals, families, clients, and staff. Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
Essential Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate verbally in person and over the phone in fluent English. Able to read, analyze, interpret and complete documentation in fluent English. Positive interpersonal skills. Works well with others, treats others with respect, works with integrity and ethically, and communicates in a pleasant, professional, and personable manner with all individuals. Able to perform well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, follow through with ideas, and show initiative in overcoming obstacles. Self-motivated, able to work independently and make sound and timely decisions. Excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented. Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent is required. At least one year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function. Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements Current Tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Must pass a criminal background check. Med Tech Certificate a plus Essential Skills Verbally able to articulate in person and over the phone. Communicate in written form and complete documentation as required by state and company policies. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Able to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas. Follows company regulations. Must be able to read physician orders and match them to Medication Administration Records for residents. Must possess an understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass medications and communicate with medical professionals.
