Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.
Inventory and monitors patient belongings. Manages supplies on the unit.
Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
Provides crisis intervention on the unit to maintain safety.
Summary:
Under the supervision of nursing staff provides direct patient care and assists with maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.Responsibilities:

- Psychiatric Assistants who work in any of the Behavioral Health units are required to perform safety rounds on all assigned patients every 15 minutes and to record activities/locations of patients on the assigned rounding sheet upon the completion of each 15 minute rounding session.
