Duties Assist in conducting intake assessments and developing personalized care strategies for clients. Support clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being through attentive patient care. Implement behavior intervention plans utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors. Monitor vital signs and administer medication accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document client progress, medical records, and treatment updates in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Employ crisis management and de-escalation techniques to effectively respond to behavioral emergencies or agitation. Support clients with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders through specialized behavior management strategies. Assist with social work activities including client communication, intake procedures, and coordination of services. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and adhere strictly to HIPAA standards during all interactions. Participate in ongoing training related to mental health, crisis intervention, addiction counseling, first aid, CPR, and other relevant certifications. Qualifications Experience working with children or youth in behavioral health or special education settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Knowledge of PTSD care, addiction counseling, substance use disorder treatment, and crisis intervention techniques. Ability to perform vital signs measurement and medication administration accurately. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and medical records management. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health care. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to remain calm under pressure using effective de-escalation techniques during behavioral crises. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire. Working knowledge of behavior intervention strategies, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management principles is a plus.
