Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Shift Weekend Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) (Friday-Sunday) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and care for individuals with substance abuse and behavioral health needs. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, crisis management, and effective communication skills to ensure the well-being of our clients. Responsibilities Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with addiction and mental health challenges. Implement behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as needed. Monitor and document vital signs, medication self-administration, and overall patient health. Engage in therapeutic activities that promote social interaction and emotional well-being. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. Support clients in managing mental health symptoms and addiction recovery processes. Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals receiving care. Complete rounds to ensure safe day to day operations of the facilities Check-in with clients and notify other staff if they seem distressed and identify issue(s) Ensure cleanliness of facility and community spaces Perform safety checks on facility Complete shift notes and other necessary documentation Complete medication counts as needed Administer UDS if requested by staff or if there is suspicion of drug use Report any curfew/rule violations or unapproved visitors to clinical team Desired candidate must have CPR certification, know how to administer Narcan, be trained in de-escalation strategies, be comfortable taking temperatures and vitals. Requirements Minimum one year experience working with individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues Knowledge of crisis management, behavior management, and applied behavior analysis techniques. Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital sign monitoring. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, Joint Commission, and state standards. Must have valid Driver's License Must be able to pass Level 2 Background check. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
