Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) -

Night Shift Schedule:

Full-Time | Friday-Sunday | 7:00 PM-7:00

AM Pay:

Starting at $17.00/hour We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our inpatient acute psychiatric treatment team. The BHT provides direct patient support, maintains a safe and therapeutic environment, and works closely with nursing and clinical staff to support individuals experiencing acute mental health needs. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to patients in an acute psychiatric setting Monitor patient safety, behaviors, and overall well-being Conduct and document routine patient observations and safety checks Assist patients with daily activities and program participation Utilize appropriate de-escalation techniques during behavioral or psychiatric crises Communicate changes in patient behavior or condition to nursing and clinical staff Maintain accurate and timely documentation Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous behavioral health, psychiatric, residential, or direct-care experience preferred Experience working with acute mental health populations is a strong plus Strong communication, observation, and crisis-management skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-acuity situations Must be able to work Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM-7:00
