Our Behavioral Health Technicians support adults with brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and behavioral health needs at home and throughout the community. We don't do life for people—we help people learn to do more for themselves. What You'll Do Teach and reinforce everyday living and independent-living skills Support participants at home and throughout the community Assist with employment, appointments, recreation, and community involvement Provide structure, prompting, redirection, and behavioral support Recognize barriers and opportunities for growth Document progress and collaborate with the participant's team This work takes patience, consistency, creativity, and repetition. Our best staff notice what's happening, try different approaches, and ask for support when they need it. Requirements 21 years of age or older High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation Ability to pass required background checks, physical, and drug screening Comfortable using technology for scheduling and documentation Experience in brain injury, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, HCBS, rehabilitation, or human services is preferred but not required. Schedule & Benefits One full-time day position plus part-time opportunities $17-$19/hour based on experience Paid training Mileage reimbursement Professional development and certification support Opportunities for advancement $1,000 hiring bonus for eligible full-time new hires: $500 after 90 days and $500 after six months of continuous employment and good standing Thoroughways was founded by experienced brain injury and community-based professionals who wanted to do this work differently.
