Description Summary:
Facilitates the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assists patients with daily living activities. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Takes vital signs, weighs patients, and collects routine specimens. Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a licensed nurse, performs various service-related activities in support of patient care and the patient care unit Responsible for direct and indirect care to assigned patients, primarily focusing on hygiene activities of daily living, vital signs, and recreational activities
Requirements:
High School Diploma required. 6 months of Healthcare Experience. De-Escalation Certification or completion within 90 days of employment and recertified annually. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
