Job Description

Job Title:
Behavioral Health Technician Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals receiving behavioral health services, providing support and assistance in their journey towards improved mental health. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and a compassionate approach to client care.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with licensed mental health professionals to implement individualized treatment plans for clients. Provide direct support and supervision to clients during therapeutic activities and daily living tasks. Assist clients in developing and practicing coping strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other behavioral health challenges. Monitor and document clients' behaviors and progress, reporting any significant changes to the clinical team. Facilitate group activities and therapeutic interventions to enhance social skills and emotional regulation. Conduct regular check-ins with clients to build rapport and address any concerns or challenges they may be facing. Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with family members and other support systems to ensure a comprehensive approach to care. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and treatment methodologies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in behavioral health is preferred. Previous experience in a behavioral health setting or similar role is an advantage. Knowledge of behavioral health principles, therapeutic techniques, and crisis intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of individuals with mental health challenges. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
