Job Description
Behavioral Health Technician Maintain the day-to-day operations of the facility for the scheduled shift.
Responsibilities:
Make rounds and document as required Ensure client's immediate needs are met Prepare meals Communicate client behaviors and document as required Redirect clients in a respectful manner when necessary Administer medications to clients as directed by the nursing staff and as ordered by the physician. Communicate all client emergent situations in a calm and organized manner to appropriate parties Work cohesively with all departments for the common purpose of client care and client safety Maintain the physical residence. Communicate any unsafe or in-need-of-repair conditions Follow all state & federal standardsPerformance Objectives :
Attend all meetings and trainings as scheduled Ensure personal trainings/certifications are current Always maintain ethical behavior and appropriate professional boundaries with clients, staff, etc.Requirements:
Free from active reportable airborne communicable diseases. Able to work standing/walking for most of the shift, climb stairs, and lift at least 35 pounds. No criminal convictions or criminal history that indicates behavior that is potentially harmful to clients. Strong moral character and compassion for others. Communicate clearly to supervisors, co-workers and clients Maintain confidentiality of clients Ability to follow directions and complete the tasks assigned Positive attitude / team player Remain awake and alert during all working hours CPR/First Aid Certification. Must be current. Able & willing to acquire Med-Tech Certification (CMT) from the Maryland Board of Nursing (20-hour training) Education requirements: High school diploma or GED.Desirable Skills:
Med-Tech Certification (CMT) from the Maryland Board of Nursing Recovery experience or education regarding substance abuse. Knowledge of the 12 Steps Cooking skillsWork Locations:
