Our Special Purpose Preschool in Arundel, Maine serves children ages 3-5 with developmental and behavioral needs, providing individualized support in a nurturing, ABA-based educational environment. As an Education Technician III / School-Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP), you'll provide hands-on classroom and one-on-one support while using evidence-based behavioral and educational strategies to help young learners develop the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond. You'll work alongside certified Special Education Teachers and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), making a meaningful difference in children's lives while building your own experience and career in education and behavioral health. Eligible employees may receive an additional monthly wage supplement based on their MRTQ Registry level: MRTQ Levels 1-4: $240/month MRTQ Levels 5-6: $360/month MRTQ Levels 7-8: $540/month This supplement is additional compensation on top of your regular wages and is designed to recognize your education, experience, and professional growth in Early Childhood Education. Total Care ABA is proud to participate in Maine's ECE Workforce Salary Supplement System and support our team as they continue to build their education, credentials, and careers. What You'll Do Provide one-on-one and small-group support to preschool students ages 3-5 Implement educational and behavioral plans developed by teachers and clinicians Reinforce classroom learning and skill development activities Assist with daily classroom routines, organization, and preparation Model positive behaviors, communication, and social interactions Collect observational data to support student progress tracking Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 90 college credits required 90 credits required to qualify for Ed Tech III certification Ability to obtain and maintain Educational Technician authorization through the Maine Department of Education. Willingness to complete BHP and/or RBT training (provided by employer) Successful completion of criminal background check, fingerprinting, and reference checks Associate or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social services, or a related field preferred Experience working with young children or individuals with developmental disabilities a plus Prior Education Technician, BHP, or ABA experience desired Help Prepare the Next Generation for Success If you're passionate about helping children reach their full potential and want to grow your career in a supportive, mission-driven environment, we would love to hear from you.
