Job Description
Overview The Rehabilitation Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation team in providing high-quality care to patients in our clinic setting. This position involves assisting healthcare professionals with therapeutic activities and ensuring a safe and effective environment for patient recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology, particularly in acute care and geriatrics. Duties Support patients in performing prescribed rehabilitation exercises and activities, monitoring their progress and providing encouragement. Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinic policies, using appropriate medical terminology. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in-office to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Provide assistance in administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to rehabilitation practices. Understanding of physiology, particularly as it pertains to acute care and geriatrics. Experience working in a clinical or gym setting is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient care. Familiarity with outpatient rehabilitation practices is a plus. Requirements Must have a degree in Exercise Science or certification in Personal Training, Athletic Training or similar.
