Advocate (Overnight Awake/Sleep Shift

At Relationship Safety Alliance in Brainerd, MN, we are hiring an Advocate to support survivors in our 24-hour emergency domestic violence shelter. Every shift, you'll help provide safety, support, and hope to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence. What You'll Do Provide crisis support, safety planning, and advocacy Be a calm, supportive presence during difficult moments Connect clients with resources and community services Help maintain a safe, welcoming shelter environment
Schedule & Pay Full-time:
35-40 hours per week Overnight shifts: 10:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM Sleep hours: 12:00 AM
  • 5:00 AM Awake hours: 10:00 PM
  • 12:00 AM & 5:00 AM
  • 8:00 AM Sleep pay: $11.
41/hour Awake pay: $21.13/hour Every other weekend and holidays are required Benefits Sick time accrual Vacation and holiday accrual after 6 months What We're Looking For Compassionate, reliable, and able to stay calm under pressure Strong communication and problem-solving skills Passion for helping others and supporting survivors Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background check Experience in human services is a plus, but not required Why This Work Matters You're not just taking a job — you're helping people find safety, healing, and a path forward.
