Job Description

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Behavioral Health Nutrition Technician to join our Melrose Center team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Nutrition Technician provides observation, planning, intervention, and support of patients experiencing eating disorders, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders and their families. This position assists with menu management, meal and snack preparation and support, monitoring of dayrooms, as well as transporting clients to appointments. Responsibilities include creating a safe and therapeutic environment that provides the best possible patient experience. This position will utilize the EPIC medical record system to record weights and vitals.
Work Schedule:
Day/evening and every other weekend.
Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a valid driver's license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet's motor vehicle violation criteria. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, and discrimination and harassment laws). Proven proficiency with telephones, computers, current patient care technology/equipment, photo copier, and fax machine.
Preferred Qualifications:
Progress toward post-secondary degree is preferred. Prior classwork in psychology or behavioral health is desired. C urrently validated CPR skills desired. Currently validated BLS skills desired.
