SUMMARY:
Mental Health Technician is responsible for the direct, continuous observation of patients. She/he intervenes as necessary to prevent physical harm to patients who might be at elevated risk of injuring themselves or others due to confusion, delirium,self-destructive behavior, or a high likelihood of falling. Mental Health Technician works with others in the healthcare team to provide Activities of Daily Living and assure prompt intervention to maintain patient safety.
EXPERIENCE
Hospital patient care experience within the last three years.
OTHER:
Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
LICENSE/CERT
Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)
Preferred:
CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)
