Works under the direction of a physician and works with specialists involved in mental health care, such as psychiatrists and therapists. Monitors patient symptoms and administers medications. Works in a mental health facility or in a hospital or other healthcare facility.

Position Summary:
: Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment. Assists patients with activities of daily living; attends to patient behavioral problems and aids in crisis intervention, as needed. Works closely with all other clinical staff (Activity therapists, Social Workers, Nurses) To conduct various groups within the patient program. Plays an integral part of assuring that the patient program schedule is conducted as planned by the staff team
Job Duties Include:
Supervises and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL) (hygiene, meals, laundry) as needed. Actively supervise patients in all daily activities while documenting patients' behaviors, conditions & progress in a manner prescribed by policy and clinical standards. Ensure programing is occurring according to schedule. Take and record vital signs, both manually and with equipment. Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient and maintain awareness of patient's individualized plan of care including goals and intervention
