Support Care Professional (MH-Active Treatment Tech, Trainee) The North Mississippi State Hospital is searching for a Support Care Professional (MH-Active Treatment Tech, Trainee) for the Tupelo, Mississippi location in Lee County. This is a full-time Position (3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. shifts). The Support Care Professional will be responsible for the care, supervision and training of mental health patients. The incumbent will support the mission of NMSH to provide the highest quality acute psychiatric care for Northeast Mississippi adults in the process of recovery.

Essential Functions:

This is paraprofessional work in the care, supervision, and training of consumers at a state mental health facility. The work involves such services as assisting with carrying out prescribed programming for consumers, participating in social and recreational activities for the consumers. Incumbents generally work under the supervision of an administrative superior. Assists residents in all areas of physical care and hygiene of consumers. Writes nontechnical reports. Participates in activities for consumers Prepares, gives, and participates in instructional training.

Salary:

$29,325.61 Annually.

Education:

Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma)

Note:

Must have successfully completed thirty (30) Semester Hours from a Junior or Senior College.
