We are looking for a dependable, compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team and work directly with individuals receiving inpatient substance use disorder treatment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, works well as part of a team, and wants to make a difference in the lives of people who are working toward recovery. You do not have to have all the answers. What matters most is being dependable, maintaining appropriate boundaries, treating people with respect, and being willing to meet clients where they are. What You'll Be Doing As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will spend much of your time interacting directly with clients and helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive treatment environment.

Responsibilities include:

Providing support and supervision to clients throughout their daily activities Building appropriate and professional relationships with clients Encouraging clients to participate in treatment, recovery activities, and healthy routines Transporting and accompanying clients to community activities, appointments, meetings, and other approved outings Helping facilitate recreational and recovery-focused activities Observing client behavior and communicating concerns or changes to the appropriate team members Completing required documentation accurately and on time Assisting with drug and alcohol testing as needed Helping maintain structure and accountability within the treatment environment Enforcing program expectations and boundaries in a respectful and consistent manner Communicating with clinical staff and other team members regarding client needs Responding appropriately to difficult situations while remaining calm and professional Helping create an environment where clients feel respected, supported, and encouraged in their recovery Completing other duties necessary to support clients and the treatment program Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Dependable and able to show up consistently for scheduled shifts Compassionate while still being able to maintain healthy boundaries Comfortable working with individuals in early recovery Able to communicate respectfully with clients and coworkers Patient and able to remain calm during stressful situations Able to work independently while also being part of a team Willing to learn and accept feedback Comfortable documenting client activities and interactions Able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Able to maintain professional boundaries at all times Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass required background checks Basic computer skills Ability to complete required training Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare, human services, corrections, peer support, or a related field is preferred but not required Previous experience working with EHR/EMR also preferred but not required.
