Job Description
This opportunity is for a Mental Health Technician . We are seeking FT and PT staff. FT staff work two weekdays and every other weekend (12-hour shifts). Day shift (7am - 7pm) or night shift (7pm - 7am). Full-time day and night shifts currently available. PT staff work one weekday and either Saturday or Sunday each week either 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am. Our 164-bed inpatient hospital services adolescents through senior adulthood offering comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer an adult Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Mental Health Technicians provide direct care to adolescent and/or adult patients with psychiatric disorders, to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient(s). Mental Health Technicians have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient's safety on the unit utilizing a therapeutic approach to all tasks including assistance with daily living activities, facilitation of skill-building groups, assisting in the intake and discharge process, and enforcement of hospital and unit rules intended to keep the patients, staff, and visitors safe.
