SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Under supervision, provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified by prescreening through booking process or nursing services. Under supervision, provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions. Assist custody and medical staff in the monitoring of behavioral health for referred detainees. Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns. Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees. Support and supplement the activities of county behavioral health services in the stabilization of at-risk detainees. Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning/case management via sharing of pertinent patient information. Complete documentation as well as maintain records for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement (CQI) under supervision. Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing behavioral health support and provide training to solve problems and make lives easier. Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.) required. Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board preferred. CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained while in this role. Hands-on or online certifications are accepted. Must be able to practice independently. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
