Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) House Tech to join our dynamic psychiatric care team. In this vital role, you will provide direct support and supervision to patients with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and behavioral challenges. Duties Observe and monitor psychiatric patients continuously, documenting behavioral changes and patient responses in medical records with accuracy and detail. Support patients during activities of daily living, ensuring their safety while fostering independence and dignity. Participate in crisis intervention efforts, providing immediate response during behavioral emergencies or psychiatric episodes. Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to therapeutic treatment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Requirements Prior experience working in acute care settings or behavioral health hospitals is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, or substance use disorders. Prior experience working in mental health or substance abuse housing. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in physical restraint techniques and crisis prevention is a plus. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
