Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily support, encouragement, and guidance to clients in recovery. Monitor client behavior and ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Assist clients with daily living skills and reinforce healthy routines. Ensure client attendance at scheduled groups, appointments, and activities. Accurately document observations, interactions, and client progress in electronic records. Recognize crisis situations and implement de-escalation techniques or emergency protocols as needed. Assist in emergency situations under the direction of clinical/nursing staff. Safely transport clients to and from program activities, appointments, and community outings. Uphold client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, state, and organizational policies. Work collaboratively with clinical and nursing staff to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in psychology, social work, or related field a plus. Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, or human services preferred. Ability to maintain professionalism, set healthy boundaries, and remain calm under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and staff. Basic computer skills; prior experience with KIPU or electronic health records is a plus. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation (if transport duties required). Must be able to pass background checks, drug screenings, and meet state/federal employment standards. Ability to walk, stand, and remain active for extended periods.
