Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Behavioral Health Technician (Administrative Focus) to support the daily operations of our behavioral health facility. This position emphasizes administrative and organizational responsibilities while providing indirect support to clinical staff and clients. The ideal candidate will excel in managing documentation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and ensuring smooth workflow across departments. This role is critical in helping the facility run efficiently and in supporting the mission of delivering high-quality, client-centered care. Duties and Responsibilities Provide administrative support to program leadership, including scheduling, data entry, and document management. Maintain accurate client files, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Assist with the intake process by collecting documentation, verifying insurance information, and entering data into electronic health record (EHR) systems. Track and organize program records, logs, and reports, including attendance sheets, staff training records, and quality assurance forms. Support compliance efforts by preparing for audits, inspections, and surveys. Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner. Manage inventory of office and program supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed. Provide logistical support for staff meetings, trainings, and client group sessions (e.g., preparing materials, setting up rooms). Assist clinical staff with non-clinical tasks such as gathering resources, scheduling appointments, and monitoring program calendars. Maintain confidentiality of all client and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies. Support facility operations as needed, including basic reception coverage and coordination of administrative projects. Experience Minimum of 1 year of administrative, office support, or customer service experience (healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred). Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or similar data systems preferred. Experience maintaining confidential records and working in a regulated environment desirable. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (Competencies) Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software quickly. High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
