TMS is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment for depression that uses magnetic stimulation to target areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. As a TMS Technician, you will work directly with patients throughout their course of treatment, administer TMS sessions under physician supervision, monitor patient progress, and help provide a comfortable and supportive treatment experience. Previous TMS experience is not required. Comprehensive training and TMS operator certification will be provided by Pinnacle Behavioral Health. is a multidisciplinary mental health practice located in Albany, NY. For more than 24 years, Pinnacle has provided behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults throughout the Capital District. Our TMS program works collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to provide individualized treatment to patients experiencing depression. Responsibilities As a TMS Technician, you will: Administer TMS treatments under the supervision of a physician. Prepare and position the TMS equipment to ensure proper coil placement, patient comfort, and treatment accuracy. Closely monitor patients throughout each treatment session. Build professional, supportive relationships with patients while maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries. Document treatment sessions and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Follow established safety protocols and appropriately respond to any treatment-related concerns or complications. Maintain an organized and punctual treatment schedule. Schedule and confirm patient appointments for the TMS Center. Collect patient payments and assist with daily cash-out procedures. Attend periodic provider and team meetings. Assist the TMS Director with administrative tasks and special projects as needed. This position does not involve providing psychotherapy or patient counseling.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, pre-med, healthcare, nursing, or another health-related field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact with patients in a professional, compassionate, patient, and nonjudgmental manner. Dependability, punctuality, and strong organizational skills. Ability to learn and accurately use an electronic medical record system. CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain certification. Training can be provided by Pinnacle Behavioral Health. Ability to commute to our Albany, NY location. Previous experience working in a healthcare or behavioral health setting is preferred. What We Provide Comprehensive on-the-job TMS training.
