Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support patients receiving psychiatric and behavioral health care. The Behavioral Health Technician will provide both direct and indirect patient care while helping maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing and clinical staff. Obtain, monitor, and accurately record patient vital signs . Complete required patient admission documentation accurately and timely. Assist healthcare professionals with appropriate physical examinations of patients. Collect and properly handle patient specimens according to established procedures. Monitor and document patient intake and output . Safely transport patients to and from designated areas as needed. Orient new patients to unit regulations, policies, procedures, and daily routines . Assist patients with completion of required forms, activities, and unit-related documentation. Observe and report changes in patient behavior, condition, or safety concerns to the appropriate clinical staff. Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. Follow established hospital, behavioral health, and patient safety protocols. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing or behavioral health team.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with a psychiatric/behavioral health patient population within the last 2 years preferred . BLS

$30.00

•$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
