333 Job Description FSN is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team. The Psychiatric RN provides direct nursing care to patients experiencing mental health and behavioral conditions, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment while supporting recovery and stabilization. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and ongoing patient evaluations. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for psychiatric patients. Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for patients in distress. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, ensuring patient and staff safety. Facilitate and participate in group therapy sessions and patient education. Document patient behavior, progress, and care interventions in EHR systems. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams. Monitor patients for signs of self-harm, withdrawal, or behavioral changes. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State]. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program BLS certification. Strong communication and patient care skills. 2+ years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing in a hospital setting Familiarity with EHR systems and behavioral health documentation.
