Behavioral Health Technician Foundations Group Recovery Center- Ohio Columbus, OH Job Details Part-time | Per diem $17 - $20 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Patient monitoring High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Patient care Full Job Description Sober Living Network Ohio offers an array of services supported by a team of knowledgeable and experienced staff. We are dedicated to helping individuals find long term and meaningful recovery. A Behavioral Health Technician performs a variety of tasks to assist individuals in their recovery process. These tasks include recovery and wellness support, mentoring, and advocacy. Assists and supports patients articulating goals for recovering while providing hope, encouragement, self-determination and connections within the community. Serves as a role model, advocate, mentor and motivator to patients in order to promote long-term recovery. Essential Functions o Provides patient supervision in a safe, therapeutic setting. o Utilize and promotes the appropriate treatment model with all patients. o Observes and documents relevant patient information. Monitors patient behavior, schedule, activities and intervenes/reports any unusual behavior, conflicts, or recovery deviations to the relevant professionals. o Assist patients in building social skills, coping techniques, recovery tools, empowerment skills and combating stigma through self-advocacy. o Knowledge of 12-step treatment models and its application in residential treatment o Possess strong ethical standards and maintaining professional standards at all times. o Attend staff meetings and program required trainings as instructed. o Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience A candidate for this position must have a minimum of a high school diploma. Lived experience with substance use disorder preferred. For applicants with lived experience with substance use disorder, 6 months of sustained and uninterrupted recovery. Must maintain a valid Driver's License and a safe driving record. Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
