Training provided for obtaining Behavioral Health Technician certification, CPR, and other ongoing training as needed to support you in this role.
- Behavioral Health Technician
Job Summary:
- As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will be responsible for implementing behavioral therapy interventions to support individuals with various behavioral challenges. Your role will involve working closely with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to provide effective behavioral support and intervention strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data collection and analysis according to individualized treatment plans
- Implement behavioral interventions to address challenging behaviors
- Collaborate with special education professionals to support clients with diverse needs
- Work with individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses and/or autism to improve social and communication skills
Requirements:
- Behavioral Health Technician certification (training provided) must be certified prior to working with clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Act 114, Act 34 and Act 151 clearances required for hire
- Mandated Reporter Certificiation
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in data collection for behavior analysis
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism and/or mental illnesses
- Understanding of special education practices
Job Types:
