Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities In this role you will be: Exemplifying the IRMC mission, vision, and values, acting in accordance with IRMC policies and procedures to ensure quality care is provided. Identifying each patient's age-specific needs and providing appropriate care as assigned Providing direct patient care including monitoring their conditions, taking vital signs, observing, recording, and reporting behaviors under the supervision of nursing. Leading patients in therapeutic and recreational activities. Assist with teaching life skills. Complete patient documentation. Help to provide a safe and secure unit environment for all patients and staff in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, family, and report any concerning events to members of the organization. Will be required to float to all units, including geri-psych, adult, and adolescent. Identifying each patient's age-specific needs and providing appropriate care as assigned Responsible for patient transports to and from hospital departments (including the medical center) and for delivery of supplies to departments as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION A
high school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year in behavioral health preferred. Previous work experience in health care preferred. Psychiatric work experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Valid PA driver's license with no previous violation BLS required or attained within 1 month of hire
Shifts:
Rotating Days/Nights
