Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavioral Health Technician & Administrative Support Specialist in Mental Health and Art Therapy Services! Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily activities, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic exercises tailored to individual needs. Support clinicians and therapists during sessions by managing client behavior using evidence-based techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) and de-escalation methods. Monitor vital signs and observe patient responses to treatment plans, documenting changes accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Assist with intake assessments, behavioral assessments, and crisis intervention procedures to ensure safety and effective care delivery. Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, updating client files, and coordinating communication between team members. Engage with clients through active listening and empathetic communication to build trust and support positive behavioral health outcomes. Requirements Experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Knowledge of mental health care practices such as PTSD care, addiction counseling, crisis management, crisis intervention, and behavior management techniques. Ability to take vital signs and provide basic first aid; CPR certification preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, EMR/EHR systems, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Strong interpersonal skills for client communication and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Experience working with youth or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly using de-escalation techniques while ensuring safety for clients and staff.
