In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations of the RTH, supervise staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health and behavioral health services to residents with diverse needs. Duties Supervise and mentor behavioral health technicians and direct care staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, residential treatment standards, and safety regulations in a 24/7 Residential Treatment Home environment. Oversee resident intake assessments, individualized treatment planning, and ongoing behavioral interventions using evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, trauma-informed care, and behavior management techniques tailored to residential mental health settings. Coordinate crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and emergency response procedures to maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu for residents and staff within the RTH. Monitor and document resident care activities accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, residential licensing standards, and confidentiality requirements. Conduct regular staff training on medication administration, vital signs monitoring, first aid/CPR, mental health crisis management, trauma-informed care, substance use recovery support, and residential living skills coaching. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and families to develop and implement comprehensive residential treatment plans focused on mental health recovery, skill-building, and successful community reintegration. Collect and analyze data related to resident progress, behavioral outcomes, treatment goal attainment, and service delivery metrics to drive continuous quality improvement in the Residential Treatment Home. Ensure the residential environment remains structured, supportive, and recovery-oriented, promoting daily living skills, medication adherence, peer support, and therapeutic programming. Requirements Proven experience working in residential treatment settings, group homes, or Residential Treatment Homes serving individuals with mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, or dual diagnoses. Strong background in mental health care, including experience with serious mental illness (SMI), PTSD, trauma-informed approaches, substance use disorder treatment, and crisis intervention techniques in residential environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures (including psychotropic medications), vital signs measurement, and accurate medical/clinical documentation practices. Experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, or co-occurring mental health and developmental needs in residential or intensive treatment settings is highly desirable. Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, 24/7 residential treatment environment. Excellent communication skills for resident engagement, staff supervision, family collaboration, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Certification in first aid/CPR is required; additional certifications in applied behavior analysis (ABA), crisis prevention/intervention (e.g., CPI, NCI), de-escalation, or trauma-informed care are preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems; strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, residential licensing requirements, and maintaining resident confidentiality is essential. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, compassion, and cultural humility; prior experience working with youth, adults, or individuals with complex mental health needs in residential settings is advantageous.
