Psychiatric Technician Place of Performance:
Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command New England (NMRTCNE), Newport, Rhode Island, and associated branch medical clinics within a 40-mile radius of their assigned MTF. Current POP starts 9/30/25. TO POP ends 9/29/26. •

Scheduling:
Hours of operation: 0730-1700 The designated government representative will schedule specific days, hours, and shift length. The specific schedule for each two (2) week period will be provided one (1) month in advance by the government supervisor or designee.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree:
Certificate.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of an equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians or completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience:
Provide three (3) letters of recommendation written within the last two (2) years attesting to the HCW's clinical skills. A minimum of one (1) of the letters must be from a supervisor or professor either previous or current. Reference letters must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address, and signature of the individual providing reference.
