We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician, CNA OR NA For a rehab recovery Facility in Hilton Head Island South Carolina Called BriteLife recovery, to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral care team. In this vital role, you will provide direct support to individuals with diverse behavioral health needs, including those with neurodevelopmental disorders, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and mental health conditions such as PTSD and autism spectrum disorders. Your energetic approach will help foster a safe, supportive environment where clients can thrive. You will be responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans, assisting with patient care, and ensuring accurate medical documentation—all while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being through patient care and behavior management techniques Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and other therapeutic strategies Support clients during intake processes and conduct ongoing assessments of their progress Monitor vital signs, administer medication as prescribed, and document medical records accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems Use crisis management and de-escalation techniques to effectively respond to behavioral emergencies or challenging situations Collect data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions for ongoing treatment planning Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical records and client information in compliance with HIPAA standards Experience Prior experience working with children, youth, or individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Experience providing mental health support for individuals with trauma-related conditions like PTSD or substance use disorders Knowledge of special education practices and addiction counseling methods is highly desirable Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and medical documentation procedures Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management and understanding of HIPAA regulations for maintaining patient confidentiality Demonstrated ability to perform crisis intervention and utilize de-escalation techniques effectively in high-pressure situations Strong communication skills for client interaction, social work support, and team collaboration Join us in this rewarding role where your energy and expertise will directly impact the well-being of individuals facing behavioral health challenges.
