Job Description
Volunteer Behavioral Healthcare System is now seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care to individuals with mental health challenges, in the Monteagle area .
Starting Pay:
$16PH Schedule:
(FT Second shift, 3p-11p) & (PT 3rd shift-Thu, Fri, Sat)EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Must have high school diploma or GED. Experience working with medically fragile and psychiatric clients preferred.EXEMPLARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interact with clients in activities including meals, transporting clients to appointments and activities outside the home, etc.
- Assisting with meal preparation and household chores including cleaning, laundry, taking out trash, shopping, etc.
- Assisting clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assists clients in becoming accustomed to the home routine and encouraging them in their adjustment.
- Maintain documentation of client encounters, etc in the client chart in accordance with the company and regulatory guidelines.
- Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
- Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision, and report to supervisor in a concise timely manner.
- Ability to maintain a flexible and cohesive relationship with clients, co-workers, and the public.
- Display flexibility in accepting additional responsibilities and assignments changes, including shift changes.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
