NIGHT SHIFT - 7PM-7AM POSITION PURPOSE

To assist in the direct care and management of adult/geriatric patients (age 18+). To provide monitoring, supervision, safety, milieu management, and crisis intervention for the patient population.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Provides consistent supervision in the patient milieu and assures unit guidelines are followed. 2.Insures documentation of patient/environmental rounds and daily logs. 3. Works to provide a safe environment and delivery of care. 4.Responds to crisis intervention calmly and per CPI guidelines. 5.Acts as a Patient Advocate in problem solving issues for the patients. 6.Adheres to hospital philosophy and all hospital policies. 7. Assists with clerical duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

AND ABILITIES

Good verbal and written skills, ability to rotate shifts as necessary, ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Must consistently exhibit mental and emotional ability to understand and perform the essential functions of job.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED (preferred

EXPERIENCE

One year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician (Preferred).
