Summary:
Make a real difference in kids' lives while working a schedule that works for you. This PRN Mental Health Technician/Program Support Specialist II role offers flexible 4, 6, or 12 hour shifts, ideal for building clinical experience alongside school, a second job, or other commitments. You'll serve as the primary caregiver for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescent, supporting daily living activities, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and helping manage challenging behaviors. You'll also take part in crisis intervention, teaching, group process, and on-call rotations as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred Pediatric experience preferred Child growth and development education required
CPR - BLS
within 60 days of start date CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 must be completed within 60 days of start date Minimum requirements changed March 2022. Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college
