Virtue Recovery Center Houston is seeking a dependable, hands-on Residential Program Supervisor to provide evening leadership and operational oversight within our detoxification and residential addiction treatment program. This position is ideal for someone with strong supervisory or management experience who also understands the demands of working in substance use treatment, behavioral health, mental health, residential care, recovery services, crisis services, or other structured human services environments. What You'll Do As the Residential Program Supervisor, you'll provide direct leadership and support to our Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) team during evening program hours.

Key responsibilities include:

Supervise, coach, support, and provide direction to Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shifts. Maintain a visible and engaged leadership presence throughout the residential environment. Ensure staff complete assigned duties, documentation, and shift responsibilities accurately and on time. Promote a safe, structured, respectful, and recovery-focused environment for clients and staff. Reinforce program expectations and support client participation in treatment. Assist with de-escalation, conflict resolution, behavioral concerns, and other client needs that arise during the shift. Engage clients who may be considering leaving treatment prematurely and collaborate with Clinical, Nursing, or leadership staff when additional support is needed. Address staffing, client, and operational concerns in real time. Identify barriers affecting the shift, develop practical solutions, and follow through until concerns are resolved. Provide coaching, feedback, modeling, and accountability to support staff growth and performance. Collaborate with Clinical, Nursing, Medical, Admissions, and other departments to support continuity of care. Communicate significant client, staffing, or operational concerns to appropriate leadership. Assist with staff coverage and residential responsibilities as needed. Promote professionalism, ethical conduct, confidentiality, strong boundaries, teamwork, and quality client care. Complete additional operational responsibilities as delegated by the Program Manager or facility leadership. We're Looking for a Leader Who... Experience That May Translate Well to This Role We welcome candidates with supervisory, team-lead, shift-lead, or management experience in areas such as: Substance use disorder or addiction treatment Detoxification or residential treatment Behavioral health Mental health or psychiatric care Recovery services or sober living Crisis stabilization Residential youth or adult services Human or social services Corrections or reentry services Community-based behavioral health programs Healthcare or other structured 24/7 care environments Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of supervisory, management, team-lead, or shift-lead experience. Experience working with individuals receiving services for substance use disorders, behavioral health concerns, mental health needs, or related residential or human services needs. Experience supporting military veterans in behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare, or human-services settings is welcomed and valued. Previous experience supervising direct care, behavioral health, residential, recovery, or support staff. Understanding of substance use disorders, recovery principles, co-occurring mental health concerns, and/or 12-step support programs. Knowledge of confidentiality, ethics, professional boundaries, and expectations within a treatment, healthcare, or human-services environment. Experience with electronic health records or similar documentation systems. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, email, and other workplace technology.
