In this role, you will work directly with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, autism, PTSD, and addiction issues. Your energetic approach will help foster a safe, supportive environment where clients can progress toward their personal goals. You will assist with patient care, behavior management, medication administration, and data collection, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and privacy regulations. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, and mobility support. Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to inform treatment plans. Implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques tailored to individual needs. Support individuals with developmental disabilities and autism through specialized interventions and social work practices. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation. Conduct intake assessments and assist with medical records management in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Respond swiftly to crisis situations through effective crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to ensure safety for clients and staff. Collect and record behavioral data meticulously to track progress and inform treatment adjustments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on behavior modification plans, special education strategies, and addiction counseling efforts. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation procedures, and HIPAA compliance is required. Experience administering medication and taking vital signs is desirable. Background in applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work, or special education will be advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective patient care, data collection, and collaboration within healthcare teams are necessary. Previous roles involving working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism will be considered a plus.
