Job Description

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS 1.
Directly reports to the Rehabilitation Manager. Indirectly reports to Staff Occupational Therapist, Staff Physical Therapist and Staff Speech-Language Pathologist.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Transport residents as scheduled to and from treatment area. 2. Perform assigned clerical duties. 3. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment area and department as outlined in Section Eight as well as in accordance with the Rehabilitation Technician Training Performance Evaluation Checklist. 4. Assist with maintaining an adequate stock of supplies and equipment. 5. Assist with treatment under the direction of licensed Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist where state regulations allow. 6. Participate in department meetings and in facility meetings. 7. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): mobility (includes walking and good balance), reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to see and hear, ability to read and write, ability to communicate with residents, family members, personnel, and ability to remain calm under stress. 1. High school diploma. 2. Training as a Rehabilitation Tech and completion of job orientation. 3. Certificate as a Nurse Aide when required by state regulations. 4. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. 5. Must be able to relate positively to residents, resident's family members, and facility staff. 6. Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and pass post employment physical exam if required.
