Submit your application for the opportunity below: Behavioral Health Technician Job Summary and Qualifications The Mental Health Technician is responsible for patient safety, assisting with daily hygiene, ambulation, and delivery of patient care including data collection, documentation, communication and implementation of patient care interventions in accordance with state Nursing Practice Acts and generic/unit structure standards. You will function as a treatment team member and conduct patient observation rounds, suicide risk observation and assist with behavior modification programs. You will assist in the admission of new patients and prepare them for patient care. You will observe any changes in the patient's condition and report changes or concern to the primary RN or Charge nurse. Ask the 3 Ps (pain, potty, positioning) prior to leaving a patient room. Escort patients to and from scheduled activities in a safe and professional manner What qualifications you will need: College degree or course work in Psychology or related Human Services field is preferred Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date One year experience in a mental health or human services field is preferred.
