At Wood Violet Recovery, our team provides a safe, supportive environment for adults receiving residential treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. As a 2nd Shift Behavioral Health Technician, you'll be an important part of our clients' daily experience — providing support, encouragement, and structure during the evening hours when connection and consistency matter most. Whether you're beginning a career in behavioral health or bringing experience from healthcare, social services, customer service, or another people-focused field, this is an opportunity to do meaningful work while being part of a compassionate team dedicated to changing lives.
Schedule:
Currently hiring for: 2nd shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm Sunday through Thursday Some weekend and holiday availability is required. What You'll Do As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment while supporting clients through their daily routines and evening activities.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring the facility and conducting routine client safety and wellness checks. Providing support and encouragement to clients throughout the evening. Helping maintain a calm, respectful, and therapeutic environment. Assisting with daily client routines, activities, and programming as needed. Responding appropriately to client needs, emergencies, and crisis situations. Documenting observations, safety checks, and client interactions accurately and timely. Providing transportation for approved appointments when necessary. Completing light housekeeping and organizational tasks to help maintain a clean, comfortable environment. Collaborating with nursing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure continuity of care. Supporting clients with professionalism, empathy, dignity, and respect. What We're Looking For We want team members who are dependable, observant, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The right person will enjoy building positive relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries and a professional presence.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. The ability to pass a background check and drug screen. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred:
Strong communication and de-escalation skills. Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare, social services, customer service, or related fields.
