BHT Manager Position Summary The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is at our all-male residential facility and will be responsible for providing direct support and supervision to clients receiving treatment for substance use disorders. The BHT helps ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while assisting clients with daily activities, recovery goals, transportation, monitoring, and adherence to program rules and treatment plans. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting individuals in recovery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and supervise clients to ensure safety and adherence to facility rules and guidelines. Provide support, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to clients throughout their recovery journey. Conduct client admissions, orientations, and discharge-related activities as assigned. Perform routine client observations and wellness checks. Document client interactions, incidents, behaviors, and activities accurately and in a timely manner. Facilitate or co-facilitate educational groups and recovery-focused activities as assigned. Conduct facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with program standards. Assist clients with daily living activities and program expectations. Transport clients to medical appointments, recovery meetings, court appearances, and other approved activities when required. Report behavioral concerns, crises, or emergencies to clinical and supervisory staff immediately. Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment that promotes accountability, respect, and personal growth. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and required continuing education programs. UDS screenings and searches residents Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare, or human services preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening (UDS). Must maintain a minimum of one (1) year of continuous sobriety from alcohol and illicit substances. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and trauma-informed care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients. Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations. Strong observation, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Empathy, integrity, and commitment to client recovery. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to respond quickly during emergencies and crisis situations. Ability to transport clients and operate company vehicles safely. Work Environment This position works within a substance use disorder treatment setting and may involve interaction with clients experiencing emotional, behavioral, or crisis-related challenges. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts may be required. Required Conditions of Employment Successful completion of a criminal background check. Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug screenings. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. Verification of at least one (1) year of continuous sobriety . Compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements. Pay $ 15 per hour
