JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Midwife to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Certified Midwife provides comprehensive, evidence-based, patient-centered care to women and families throughout the reproductive life cycle. Responsibilities include prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, reproductive, and gynecologic care within the midwife's scope of practice and applicable licensure. The Certified Midwife collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, respectful, culturally responsive care and positive maternal and newborn outcomes

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, postpartum, newborn, reproductive, and gynecologic care within scope of practice. Perform patient histories, physical examinations, risk assessments, and clinical evaluations. Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and manage normal labor and birth. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Recognize complications and initiate appropriate consultation, referral, or transfer of care. Provide postpartum and routine newborn assessments and care. Provide patient education regarding pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, contraception, and reproductive health. Support informed consent, shared decision-making, and patient preferences. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies within scope of practice. Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as authorized. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records. Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, clinical education, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Maintain required licensure, certifications, competencies, and clinical privileges. Comply with HIPAA, organizational policies, professional standards, and applicable laws and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIRIMENTS

: Current Certified Midwife (CM) certification or applicable recognized midwifery credential. Current, unrestricted state licensure or eligibility for licensure. Graduation from an accredited midwifery education program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to obtain and maintain applicable clinical privileges. Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment. Commitment to patient-centered, equitable, and respectful care.

Preferred Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in midwifery or a comparable clinical role. Experience in prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, reproductive, or gynecologic care. Hospital, birth center, or women's health clinic experience. Experience with electronic health records (EHR). Experience with quality improvement or evidence-based practice. Experience providing patient education and breastfeeding support. Experience working with diverse patient populations. Experience as a student preceptor or clinical mentor. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, as applicable. Additional training or certification in women's health, lactation, fetal monitoring, emergency obstetric care, or newborn care. Bilingual or multilingual skills relevant to the patient population are preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills. Pay:

$165,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
