Job Description
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (Per Diem) to join the High-Risk OB/GYN team at Memorial Regional Hospital, one of South Florida's leading maternity care programs. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional care to women and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn continuum. The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive nurse-midwifery care. The selected candidate will work alongside experienced obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff in a high-volume, patient-centered environment.
Position Highlights:
- Per diem opportunity with flexible scheduling based on departmental needs
- Inpatient coverage on the Labor & Delivery unit and Obstetrical Emergency Department (OBED)
- Opportunity to provide outpatient coverage in Memorial Primary Care (MPC) offices as needed
- Rotating day, evening, and night shifts
- Collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional maternal and newborn care
- Practice within one of South Florida's premier healthcare systems
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients within the scope of Certified Nurse Midwife practice
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care
- Participate in inpatient Labor & Delivery and OBED coverage, as well as outpatient clinical responsibilities when needed
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive maternal and neonatal outcomes
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwifery program
- Current Florida APRN license
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification
- Current NALS or NRP certification
