Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Guiding Star Tampa Bay Birth & Wellness Center Largo, Florida Full-Time | W-2 Employee Join a Growing, Life-Affirming Birth Center Practice Guiding Star Tampa Bay Birth & Wellness Center is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our growing team in Largo, Florida. As a nonprofit birth center, we provide life-affirming, wholistic healthcare for women and families through fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, and beyond. Our model empowers women through every stage of life and promotes confidence in the natural design of the female body. Located just minutes from Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast beaches and only 10 minutes from the nearest hospital, our free-standing birth center offers the opportunity to practice authentic midwifery in a supportive, mission-driven environment. About the Position We are currently staffed by three CNMs and are experiencing continued growth. Our practice averages approximately five births per month, with expansion underway. The ideal candidate is passionate about physiologic birth, values relationship-based care, and desires to serve women and families within a life-affirming healthcare model. Schedule Full-time W-2 position 4-6 office days per month 8-10 call shifts per month Primarily 24-hour home call Rotating holiday coverage Start date: As soon as possible Responsibilities Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor and birth, postpartum, newborn, gynecologic, and well-woman care Attend births in our free-standing birth center Provide newborn care through 28 days of life Educate and support patients regarding pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, fertility, and women's health Participate in shared call coverage Maintain timely and accurate medical records Collaborate with the clinical team to provide exceptional patient-centered care QualificationsRequired Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Current Florida license NRP certification BLS certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to life-affirming, patient-centered care Preferred Two or more years of midwifery experience Experience in out-of-hospital birth settings Familiarity with fertility awareness-based family planning methods Limited obstetric ultrasound experience Candidates with fewer years of experience may be considered for the right fit.
