Description:
Join Windom Area Health in Building Midwifery Care for Our Community Windom Area Health is committed to making the vision of accessible, patient-centered midwifery care a reality for the families we serve. We are seeking two full-time Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) to help establish and grow a collaborative midwifery program in rural southwest Minnesota. These positions offer the opportunity to provide comprehensive, relationship-based care across pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and women's health. The two CNMs will work closely with one another and as valued members of an interdisciplinary maternity care team that includes OB/GYN physicians and family medicine physicians providing obstetric care.
Requirements:
Provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care within the CNM scope of practice. Provide outpatient women's health services, including preventive and reproductive health care. Support individualized, evidence-based, low-intervention birth options for appropriate patients. Collaborate with OB/GYN and family medicine obstetric providers for consultation, co-management, and transfer of care when indicated. Participate in development and ongoing improvement of Windom Area Health's midwifery and Birth Place services. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nurse-midwifery program. Current certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board. Current or eligible Minnesota Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure. Experience in full-scope midwifery practice is preferred but not required. This is a full-time opportunity for CNMs who are excited to help shape a new service line, build lasting relationships with patients and families, and advance access to high-quality maternity and women's health care in a rural community. This position would participate in shared call coverage that includes every other weekend.
