GENERAL OVERVIEW

Provides care to women and their families throughout their lifespan.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs procedures within the scope of midwifery practice as defined by the American College of Nurse Midwives and outlined in the practice guidelines. (50%) Performs assessments of physical, psychosocial and educational needs. (25%) Provides diagnosis and order appropriate treatment and medication. (25%) Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Graduate of Nurse Midwife Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Certification from American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) Current PA Midwifery license with prescriptive authority Current PA driver's license CPR - American Heart Association Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Preferred 1-3 years' midwifery experience
